Kazimierz is a Jewish District in Krakow. It has a unique atmosphere, created by many different elements – people, architecture, but also graffiti, old signboards, cracks on the walls, paint falling off. Things usually unnoticed or at least not paid attention to. During the 24th Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow we run the Snapshot action. Together with participants we looked for this kind of interesting details which create the atmosphere of Kazimierz. In these places participants of our action put “Polaroid frames”. In this way all of us together created the Snapshot street gallery. The Snapshot draws attention to such „ordinary” things, which may be quite extraordinary, after all.
Snapshoot was organised with Jewish Festival in Cracow and JCC Krakow
